Public transport fare changes from 1 January 2015

A new Free Tram Zone will begin in Melbourne City from 1 January, along with capped fares for zone 1 and 2 travel.

Avalon Airport Rail Link preferred alignment announced

7 October 2014

In September 2014, a preferred alignment was announced for the Avalon Airport Rail Link.
Avalon Airport Rail Link will connect the existing Melbourne to Geelong rail line with Avalon Airport. The preferred alignment will run from a point between Lara and Little River stations to the airport passenger terminal.

Agreement with Transurban signed for the CityLink Tulla Widening

The Victorian Government announced it has reached a final agreement with Transurban on the CityLink Tulla Widening project through the Unsolicited Proposal Guidelines.
