Residential Zones State of Play reports

In accordance with Clause 11 of the Terms of Reference (PDF 109.6 KB), the Managing Residential Development Taskforce has prepared Residential Zones State of Play reports for each of the Plan Melbourne Metropolitan subregions and one combined report for the four regional cities of Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong and Latrobe.

The Taskforce has also prepared an Overarching Report and a series of Maps to accompany the State of Play reports.

High quality, individual maps for each subregion and municipality are provided at the bottom of this page.

A List of Suggested Improvements to the Residential Zones has also been compiled by the Taskforce.

The Reports and List of Suggested Improvements are intended to assist the community, councils, the development industry and ultimately the Advisory Committee to review the implementation of the new residential zones.

List of Suggested Improvements to the Residential Zones

The content of the List of Suggested Improvements to the Residential Zones (table one) is derived informally from a number of sources with differing views on the application of zones allowing for residential development. The list is provided for comment only and neither the Advisory Committee or the Taskforce have formed an opinion on the validity or rationale for the suggestions
