Living Libraries Infrastructure Program

The Living Libraries Infrastructure Program is designed to improve Victorian public libraries and make them more accessible to the community.

The program assists Victorian councils and regional library corporations to provide high-quality library infrastructure that meets the changing needs of communities.

The program provides funding towards new, redeveloped or refurbished public library infrastructure and new or updated mobile libraries.

This government announced an $18 million investment in the program over the next four years as part of the 2016-17 State Budget.

For the 2016 Program, $4.5 million has been made available. Councils and regional library corporations are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $750,000. Applications open Wednesday 28 September 2016 and close on Friday 16 December 2016.
