Victorian State-Local Government Agreement

The new Victorian State-Local Government Agreement (VSLGA) was signed by the Victorian Stat-Local Government AgreementVictorian Premier, the Minister for Local Government and Cr Bill McArthur, President of the Municipal Association of Victoria representing the sector at the Local Government Ministerial and Mayors Forum on 10 September 2014.

The simpler more practical agreement reflects feedback from mayors and council chief executive officers and peak bodies from across the state.

About the VSLGA

The Victorian State-Local Government Agreement (VSLGA) was established in 2008 to give effect to the Inter-Governmental Agreement Establishing Principles Guiding Inter-Governmental Relations on Local Government Matters (IGA).
